JR Automation Awards Record-Breaking Donation to Non-Profit Organizations in Holland, MI, Stevensville, MI, Liberty, SC, and Nashville, TN

Holland, MI – January 15, 2019 – JR Automation employees have once again raised a record amount of money to donate to local non-profit organizations in Holland, MI, Stevensville, MI, Liberty, SC, Greenville, SC, and Nashville, TN. Through a variety of fundraising events, ranging from fitness challenges and flower sales to chili cook-offs and softball tournaments, employees raised a total of $135,000, including the company’s corporate match.

The following non-profit organizations are recipients of the funds raised by JR Automation employees:

• Harbor Humane Society
• Center for Women in Transition
• Special Olympics (Area 51)
• Hospice of Holland
• Bethany Christian Services
• Holland Rescue Mission
• Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Habitat for Humanity
• The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Michigan
• Caring and Nurturing (C.A.N.)
• St. Jude’s Research Hospital

This fundraising is made possible by the JR Community Care Fund (JRCCF), an employee-led initiative that hosts the annual events. The JRCCF, which now involves over thirty JR employees across multiple locations in North America, has matured into a self-sustaining operation that brings together hundreds of employees and benefits thousands of people in our community. “The JRCCF committee continues to do an amazing job of supporting our communities and bringing together our employees for some really exciting events. This year, we were able to bring the JRCCF activities to our location in Nashville and it’s been powerful to see the passion our employees there brought to this initiative,” said Bryan Jones, CEO at JR Automation.

The JRCCF was established by a small group of JR Automation employees in 1997 and began as a way to support fellow employees experiencing hardship. As time went on, the steering committee saw the fund as an opportunity to give back and support local non-profit organizations. Through the growth that JR Automation has experienced as a company, they have seen an exponential increase in the amount of funds raised annually, as well as the number of employees who participate in the fundraising events.
