JR Automation has developed a compact robot-carried dispensing gun, significantly increasing the ability to operate in tight areas or at difficult angles. We partner with several vision suppliers to create a robot-carried vision system that can complete 100% bead inspection as it's dispensing the bead on a piece of glass in real time. Further, operators can easily access the tip maintenance and purge bucket from outside the cell, greatly reducing cell downtime.
Dispense tip-down pedestal is available but requires using robotically controlled 7th-axis-coordinated motion for this method. The retractable blow-off/purge box easily moves clear for the material dispense cycle.

The added rotary motion of the tip between the integrated blow-off/purge box and the dispense position is necessary. We use a remotely mounted vision bead inspection audit to confirm the proper positioning of the dispensed bead. This configuration is feasible when the system is not constrained by added cycle time.
